Katie McGINTY for U.S. Senate; Joe CIRESI for HD 146; ENDORSEMENT VOTES

At the conclusion of our upcoming March 3 meeting, Montco DFA will be proud to say that we will have given our members an up-close opportunity to have a dialogue with all three U.S. Senate candidates.

* KATIE McGINTY for U.S. SENATE *
Trained as a chemist and then as an attorney, Katie McGinty was the first woman to chair the Council on Environmental Quality in President Bill Clinton’s administration. She led our state’s Department of Environmental Protection as its Secretary. Let’s hear what Katie wants to do as our senator.

* JOE CIRESI for PA HOUSE, District 146 *

Joe Ciresi is a 10-year School Director in the Spring-Ford School District, having served as both its president and vice-president. This seat in western Montgomery County had always been in Republican hands except for one term when Democrats grabbed the ring in 2012. Find out what Joe has to offer in snatching it back again.

* A special note of gratitude *

The PA Progressive Summit recently concluded its annual meeting which draws progressive participants from many states.  I was humbled to receive its Anna Burger Award for my activism.  Anna Burger was the first woman to head a union, and she continues in other venues to fight for the values that progressives hold dear.  I was honored to receive this award and note that the work that I have done with Montco DFA comprises a significant part of my activism — as the saying goes:  It takes a village.  So to all of us under the Montco DFA banner, this award is yours, too.
